Paul Whittaker has been crusading on behalf of bamboos for years and his exhibits have made many people realise how useful bamboos can be in the garden. His centrepiece this year is the bright buttery stemmed Phyllostachys ‘Aureocaulis’ which is set off by a lush grove of other bamboos from his collection along with grasses and other perennials.
